Mine were easily repaired by replacing the switches in the console. I bought on-line and installed them. The only problem I had was simply nothing would work when pushing the switch. If your window is attempting to go up or down that is a different problem. ...The regulators (lifting mechanisms) are surprisingly different from door to door. I had a bad motor in the rear left that had seized up (you could hear it click when it attempted to turn). This was remedied by completely disassembling it, filing and brushing some rusty parts, greasing liberally, and re-assembling.... I also had stripped gears on the drivers window. Cheapest regulator I could find was out of my league , so I added a bead of metal with a MIG welder and filed/ dremeled out some new teeth. It has been working great for about six months.
This is a job for a quailified repair specialist not for a DIYer.
