On a 2002 Mercury Mountaineer : The " check gage " light comes on if the engine coolant temperature is too high , the engine oil pressure is too low , or the gas gauge is at or near empty
I had the same problem on my 2002 Ford Explorer, after I replaced the gas cap the light turned off
Purchase a Purolator cabin filter which comes with complete instructions.
In a 1999 Mercury Mountaineer : Either the 4.0 liter Single Over Head Cam ( SOHC ) V6 engine , or the 5.0 liter V8 , which is an over head valve / push rod design engine
The same place where you check it, there is a tube that comes up in the right center behind and to the left of the coolant reservoir. It has a small black ball on top. That is your transmission fluid dipstick. It is, unfortunately, not marked in any way. Pull that out and if you need to add fluid put a funnel in that tube and do so.
Most modern vehicles have the fuel pump in the back or in most cases the fuel tank itself. If your check engine light comes on, take it in for a computer scan. Ask them to do a pressure test of the fuel pump also.
there is a check plug on the side of transmission. there is no dipstick. keep adding fluid until it comes out of check plug, then you are good to go.
dash dash
If you are going over an uneven surface, the light may come on because one wheel is spinning faster then the others.
A low battery can cause the electrical system to flash check engine lights
It is important to know why flashing lights come on in a vehicle. When a transmission light comes on it can mean that there the fluid is low, or that there are other issues.
your abs lite wont turn because its a warning lite.it comes on when something is not working the way it should.its a reminder for you to take it in to be repaired
