Merits and demerits of mobile phones?

One merit; they're useful and very convenient communication tools.

Against that there are the many deaths caused by people trying to drive when their attention is focussed on a 'phone call.

Merits would be: its portable, you could text (lol), and i can't think of anything else.

Demerits would be: if you didn't take the charger with you, and the battery ran out, you would be in deep trouble if you needed it later on. I dunno anything else.
