The switch is on the shift knob. There is also a relay and solenoid. The best info I can find says that it is behind the passenger side kick panel, under the glove box. It'll be a red push-button switch.
A car has many panels such as a door panel, a header panel, a rocker panel, cowl panel, need more info to answer that Q.
I use WWW.alldata.com. There is a fee but the info is excellent. Also try looking for a green wire coming from the turn signal switch to the lamp assy. This last info for an '89 240, might be the same.
On this model, the wiper fuse is a circuit breaker in the wiper switch. There is a Blk/lt-grn wire (black light green), that has power from the ignition switch feeding the wiper switch. Check at the switch plug to make sure you have power coming in on this wire when the ignition switch is on. If you need more info, send me a message.

A Volvo Trucks/Mack Trucks dealer would be your best bet.
Start by checking the fuse in the fuse panel. Also make sure the dimmer switch is not turned off.
its easy all you need is a mini solar panel a motor an on off switch and a base for the boat and you should be good to go type it up on google youll get lots of info
