Both Mexico and the United States have natural beauty, biodiversity, locations that tourists love to visit (like beaches and mountains), and many historical sites. But both also have slums, poverty, and areas that are not very attractive. So, it probably depends on which country you are from, because most of us are taught to admire the good things about our own country first.
Biodiversity in an ecosystem generally introduces more plant and animal species and means a healthier ecosystem. It is generally more able to withstand droughts and other less than friendly natural happenings.
