Before you get your mini rex, make sure you have a cage and everything you will need. When buying a cage, remember to but for the rabbit's adult size! Make sure the cage is chew proof (wood is ok) and escape proof. Also, get your bunny a nesting box (cardboard boxes work well, but you will need to replace them). Bunnies LOVE the plastic igloos at Petco. Next, make sure your rabbit has a good diet. This should include rabbit pellets, hay, and veggies. I buy my pellets & hay at a local feed store (alfalfa hay is best for older and younger rabbits because it is so rich, but Bermuda is fine too). Mini rex rabbits can eat basically ANY kind of vegetables, and they especially love carrots, apples (no seeds), celery, and lettuce. Before feeding your rabbit anything, you should probably check to make sure it is ok by looking it up online or in a book. Lastly, give your rabbit plenty of chew toys and don't forget to clip its nails (be VERY VERY VERY careful, if the nail bleeds just use corn starch to stop it). Finally, don't forget to play with your new bunny!!!!!!!!
