Before, during, and after the American Civil War, it can be fairly said that many northern whites (and others) objected to slavery on very simple moral grounds. They opposed the practice within America or anywhere because of what they saw as its inherent wrong: no human being is rightly held in bondage to any other on the basis of supposed racial, ethnic, economic, or any other inferiority.
The federalist objected to the Bill of Rights because they believed it gave the government enough power, but not to much to prevent tyranny.

Good question! The North benefited from the Missouri Compromise, because they received another state in the North (Maine) that did not allow slavery (because the North didn't like slavery.) The South benefited from the Missouri Compromise, because they received another southern state (Missouri) that was capable of having slaves. This way, both the North and the South had an equal amount of 12 Northern states and 12 Southern states.

On iowa western border the missouri river helped shape western border and on the eastern border mississippi river shapes eastern border of iowa mostly the rivers helped shape iowa because it was surrounded by water. The northern border with Minnesota it was given a random state line because minnestoa wasnt a state yet so they quickly had to do that to make sure iowa had northern border. On the southern border with missouri(state) there was problems because of the state line because of improper surveying so it caused iowa and missouri to go to war and have surveyors resurvey the the border.
