Do you mean Mobil 1 5W-30 (which is synthetic) or Mobil Super 1000 (which looks like a HVI mineral oil basestock).
The only Mobil 100 5W-30 I remember was a "red band" mil spec mineral oil (and that was 20 years ago).
The owners manual has several different weights listed depending on the ambient temperature in which the car is to be driven. 5w30 is recommended up to 100 degrees. over that and it is recommending a 20w50. I would use a good synthetic 5w30 which is good for much higher temperatures and will easily perform well in the +100 degree range as well as the -0 temp range. Mobil 1 or Amsoil fit the bill nicely.
SAE 5w30 any major brand. If it is a Turbo I would recommend 100% Synthetic oil.
Use SAE 5w30 any major brand of 100% Synthetic oil. It takes 7.9 quarts with filter change.
Synthetic is 100% synthetic. There are blends sold that are part synthetic & regular oil. Look for a quart that sates FULL or 100% Synthetic. If it says Synthetic Blend then it is not 100% Synthetic.Synthetic is 100% synthetic. There are blends sold that are part synthetic & regular oil. Look for a quart that sates FULL or 100% Synthetic. Mobil Mobilith SHC 100 looks close to it
its worth about 100 atums
You can use conventions, synthetic blend, or 100% synthetic, your choice.
Semi synthetic or synthetic blend is a combination of synthetic and conventional oil. Full synthetic oil is just that 100% synthetic oil.
Yes you can use a synthetic blend or 100% synthetic.
In my area, the average is 40 x 100 ft.
100% Synthetic stays the same viscosity (ability to flow properly) all of the time no matter what the outside temperature. Semi-Synthetic will change viscosity as the temperature changes,,,Warmer-Thinner, Colder-Thicker. 100% synthetic is the better choice in colder climates.
100% synthetic.
