Of the three main fossil fuels, coal is the most carbon-intensive, followed by oil and then natural gas. In other words, each unit of heat produced by burning coal results in more carbon dioxide being added to the atmosphere.
But, carbon dioxide is hardly the worst environmental issue we have. Coal also has many actual pollutants in it besides the CO2 issue that are directly and measurably bad for our environment. Sulfur compounds, which do actual harm to life on the planet also emit from the burning of coal. These along with the soot also form global dimming and cooling issues in addition to the health issues associated with sulfur compounds. Mercury is also found in coal, which makes it a very poor choice for fuel without serious filtering equipment being employed at the burn site. Coal pretty much wins the bad fuel choice award.
Nuclear fuel is the most harmful.
burning fossil fuel releases greenhouse gases which cause global warming, also extraction of these fuels alter the environment it was in
Yes it is a fossil fuel.
a living fossil fuel.
The burning of fossil fuels has detrimental effects on human health and the environment. Smog, pollution, and dirty fuel are all lasting attributes of burning fossil fuels.
the most fossil fuel that humans use is the solid fossil fuel. and it is coal
burning fossil fuel releases greenhouse gases which cause global warming, also extraction of these fuels alter the environment it was in
Actually you cannot talk about common things in fossil fuel and petroleum. This things at the point that petroleum is a fossil fuel.
Fossil Fuels "pollute" the air when depending on waterfalls doesnt to anything to the environment.
Pollution and the destruction of the environment.
Yes it is a fossil fuel.
by excess cutting of trees, dam building, fossil fuel etc damaging and poluting environment
unsafe cause it lets out greenhouse gases
Yes. It's a fossil fuel, burnt and released into the air w/o any cleaning.
You cant, once fossil fuels is burned, the atoms in the fuel is split and produces greenhouse gases
No its not a fossil fuel
Hurts the environment, and cars that use fossil fuels generally have more problems than electric. Also more expensive to fill
Uranium is not a fossil fuel and cannot be a fossil fuel.
