Video Games are a big part of kids lives, but now a days, games a getting more and more descriptive. Some parents think that things in these video games are too "bad" for their children to see. Although, most children experience a lot of crazy and "bad" things at school, and most of the time never know about it.

To answer the question, I'd say that you should look at how mature your son is, and whether or not he has enough time in his day to play the game, because he WILL spend a large amount of time playing the game if he likes it.

This is a question best left to the parent of the child in question. The parent should be aware of the following, however:

  • The game includes a scene wherein multiple people are hanged, including a child.
  • There is a scene depicting childbirth.
  • There is a scene with erotic implications. (You don't see anything, but you can tell a girl's shirt has been taken off and she falls into bed with a man)
  • The game suggests that templars (easily related to the Church) are corrupt in multiple ways, and the main character is out to kill many of them.
  • The game is of course about an assassin. He kills a number of people, some in a very graphic manner.
  • One part of the game involves puzzles which require prior knowledge of rather advanced subjects- such as the countries attacked during a war, the number of patents awarded to Einstein, and other things that a child of 10 is unlikely to know without a lot of assistance.

Of course every parent knows their own child best and would know if this is appropriate for them. The game is rated Mature or 18+ (at least in Canada) and in the least an adult is required to purchase the game.

It is a game intended for a mature audience. My personal suggestion would be age 15 and over.
