Put the light switch on high beam wile off and the lights will turn off the is a problem with the switch the is a updated part number tha t will fix your problem but if dont want to spent money just leave the switch on high beams all the time
iT CAN BE WIRING OR BAD HEADLIGHT SWITCH.
Faulty switch on the stalk on steering column, had it do that to me on a mazda.
Check the rear light wires, could be a short
The fuse panel is under the dash by the driver. If your parking lights are also out, your headlight/parking light/turn signal switch is bad.

I am having this same problem. The lights for the license plate don't work either. I have had two mechanics suggest to me that I replace the HeadLight Switch. I am thinking about ordering one on Monday.
Had the same problem with mine. Jiggled the headlight switch and now they work. I suspect the headlight switch is going.
