The shifter has splines that need to be lubed get under the truck and spray the floor shifter mecanism and have someone move the shifter as u spray should free up then lube the linkage
first most obvious, make sure the transfer case is not in neutral. If the shifter is stuck in one position you can access the floor panel over the shifter, then remove the shifter, sometimes when worn or loose they can become stuck and you can fix it by lifting the shifter out of the trans. Lastly, and you would probably already suspect this, the clutch is gone, but you would have had a lot of issues and slippage leading up to a complete failure.
Make sure the shifter is all the way in park, if it is not in park, the key will not come out. You might want to wiggle the shifter to make sure it is all the way in park.
Check and see if you have brake lights - If there are no brake lights then your shifter release solenoid will not release the shifter, it will be stuck in park. If this has happened then please check the wiring on the brake light switch which is located on the brake pedal. You will probably find a broken wire.
new shifter or you can work hard in fixing the shifter... it happend to me in a 1980 Malibu and that was the kind by the steering wheel, also in my friends 69 camaro the auto floor shifter
automatic or manual?
If your dirt bike is stuck in gear, the shifter fork is most likely bent or broken. Changing the shifter fork requires splitting the case.

I assume it's a floor shifter. Could be a problem with the shifter or else with the transmission itself. I'd suggest looking at the shifter first, which can be removed from inside the vehicle. The end of the shifter that protrudes into the transmission may have broken off, especially if this happened suddenly. That happened to me on my 81. It also may be very, very worn. If everything looks OK with the shifter, then it's probably the tranny itself, which is a much tougher scenario.
No
It sounds like the transmission shifter linkage is disconnected.
