I just had my intake manifold replaced on my 2000 impala that could be your problem it is kinda costly though it cost me about $1000 here in Pa. You don't say where the coolant leaks from. If the leakage is from the engine, determine where it is coming from and start looking from there. If by leakage, you mean overflow from radiator or coolant reservoir, then here are some causes of overheating that you might consider: thermostat stuck in closed position; faulty water pump; broken fan blades; loose belt; clogged radiator; radiator cap not holding pressure; blown head gasket; low or no coolant; leaking hoses.
it could be the water pump or a blown head gasket
sounds like you have a cracked head
change the water temp sensor
been there done that, i had an 01 , 3.1 same situation, its the upper and lower intake gaskets, its a common problem with these gm models, its blamed on the dexcool antifreeze, u cant mix it with other antifreeze, there is a class action suiet going on now about the dexcool.. i replaced the gaskets but it had already been too hot...had to replace engine.....and used only dexcool, running excellent..
yes, to a degree. all forms of antifreeze that are for automotive use should be compatible tho. match the color you put in to the color you take out, or is in there already (green = plain Jane antifreeze, other colors = high life antifreeze)
depends on what kind you buy , you can buy premixed (already has water added ) or just plane antifreeze ,then you need to mix it 50/50 with water
Blown fuse or wiring defect for the bulb you have already replaced. You have replaced the wrong bulb. The new bulb was defective.
It depends on which antifreeze/coolant you used. The prestone brand claims it can be mixed with any other brand. Read the bottle to see if it has the same claim
just regular antifreeze i would just mix it 50/50 with water or u can purchase it already mixed.
Yes. Never add pure antifreeze. Pure antifreeze will actually freeze before a 50/50 mix. Add coolant that is a 50/50 mix of antifreeze and distilled water. You can buy it already pre-mixed.
Have you replaced the thermostat?
you can use 50/50 antifreeze bcuz it is already ready to use
