Sounds like battery connections and or battery. Clean and tighten all battery connections including where it connects to the starter and engine block.
Disconnect the cables and use a wire brush until you can see fresh metal on both the battery and connector then reattach securely.
If corrosion is inside the wire ( green or white stuff ) you may need to replace the cables or at least cut them back till there is good wire and install new connectors.
Have the battery load tested to be sure it is good.
The starter solenoid near the battery should be checked.
Sometimes nothing and sometimes you will just blow the main fuse. Sometimes you can do serious electrical damage to other components. Depends on the vehicle.
