you might need more freon, but AC are made to last, you might have a leak in the system in either case you will have to get a mechanic to check out the system.
yes stone cold is coming in may 2009
pluged filter, dirty coils,
because its not working proper.
check to see if the evaporater is working or if its leaking, then check for leaks on ac lines going threw out ur engine bay
too much oil in system or compressor not working properly are some possibilities
Im not exactly sure, I know it helps makes the air cold coming from your car air conditioner.
Need to know if the blower is working or not or, the air coming out is cold or warm or hot or, the air (hot or cold) is only coming out the defroster.
Need more info like, is the blower working or not, is the air coming out cold or warm when it should be hot, is the air not coming out where it should be.
A vehicle air conditioner has two basic components; the compressor, and the fan, or blower. If the compressor is working, the air coming out of the vents will be cold, but if the blower is not working, the air will not come out very fast. Hot wire the blower to the battery, to bypass any fuses or switches, and see if the blower will run. If it does, but will not run when connected normally, check the fuse for the blower. If it is good, you would be wise to take the vehicle to an automotive electrical specialist to have them troubleshoot it.
if you turn the selector switch of your aircon and only fan is working and no cold air coming out of the diffuser have your aircon fuse connected to the compressor check. If the fuse is not blown then have your thermostat be set to colder position. If the compressor still does not work have the thermostat be check by an auto aircon tech. If the thermostat is ok then look for any sign of oil in the piping of your aircon system possibly there is leak which causes the pressure switch not to function. If theres no refrigerant in the system the compressor will not be activated by the pressure switch.
Your compressor is not working. Through evaporation compressors cool the evaporator coil and the fan blows air across it. So if the fan is blowing hot air the compressor is not cooling the coil. But check to see if the dial inside the fridge is turned to "more cold" , that turns the compressor on.
check the fan fuse under the hood on the driver side or under the dash on the same side, make sure the compressor is working after you check the a/c button on the dash is pushed on. if the fan isn't blowing out air you may need a new blower motor check eBay. if your not getting cold air it could either be you need a freon refill or your compressor needs to be replaced also a cheap purchase on eBay i bought both pats off eBay real cheap. PS. in order to check if you need a new compressor turn on your ac. check under your hood, left side theres a pipe elevated with a cap on it labeled 'l" check for condensation. if the pipe is cold your compressor's working & you only need a blower motor
