The flapping is the gas door mine did it too till I installed a billet door now no noise. The stalling could be any number of things start by checking your plugs abd running a bottle of techron through the tank. The flapping sound is probably your engine backfiring, due to bad plug wires. I had the same issue on an 03 Turbo and couldn't figure out what it was. It would occur under heavy acceleration. The car would miss several times (the flapping sound?? when it punched the gas. I put new plugs and wires in, and the problem was corrected.
