My best friend lives far away and her birthday is coming up what are some ideas for a gift for her. I was thinking of a scrapbook but do not know what to put in it.?

• With your best friend living so far away your idea of a scrapbook (or photo album) is a good one. 'Michael's Crafts' or any large craft store carries photo albums to scrapbook materials. You should gather any photos you have of your friend; yourself; some of the friends she had to put in the album. You could use your parent's camera and take a picture of her old neighborhood; the school she went too and perhaps take a group shot of her other friends as well as pictures of yourself. You could write out memories you had together regarding all the things you did together. If organized it does not take long to put a scrapbook or photo album together. You could also get cool decals (they have a sticky side to them.) Tell the sales girl in the craft shop what your ideas are and she may have other ideas to help you out. If you feel you do not have time to make up the scrapbook then you could get her a nice piece of jewelry such as a thin chain with a medallion on the end; perhaps half a heart (you wear the other half) and have engraved on the back 'friends forever (her name and yours) and the her birth date.
