My boyfriend and I live about 80 miles apart so only see each other about once every 3 weeks. as you can imagine when we get together things are pretty full on and spend most of our time in bed?

that's to be expected really. I would try and do more meaningful things with your time too though so it won't feel like your relationship is only based on sex. I used to live about 40 miles away from my boyfriend and only saw each other once a week, not as severe as you, but we also spent a lot of time in bed, but we also went out to dinner and did fun things together. there is a way to do both things. but if you two are in a commited relationship and have been for awhile, I would talk about trying to work together to make your relationship propser more. like make a goal to move intogether. or if he has his own place talk to him about you moving if that is possible so you can be together more and not always having to go weeks without seeing each other.
