My bunny is very jittery his heart is beating very fast and jumps all over the place when he is lying down like a dog legs stretched out he all of a sudden jumps up Is there something wrong?

no he is fine i have a rabbit at home hes atleast one yrs old i had found all four of my rabbits in the garbage can i rescued them and took them home with me two days later i noticed a sudden change in my white rabbit it was very calm and was not eating like he normally would the next day i found him dead. i have 3 more and they are all they same if your rabbits heart is beating very fast than it could possibly be in heat you can freeze some water bottles and put them in there cage remember to refil there water everyday with fresh cooled water if he is jumping everywhere this means he is excited or scared bunnies like to go in caves because they feel safe in the dark space so i suggest you built a dark space of some sort with a fan inside bunnies die from heat very easily but they do very well in the cold. i gave away two of my rabbits and kept the baby he is in a cage with damp towels a fan and cold water i also got a jar with ice in it to keep him cold i take my rabbit outside everyday for atleast an hour if your rabbit starts laying down in the heat this is not good i have seen alot of rabbits die because they lay down when they are hot in the sun rabbits arent the smartest when hot so they will bounce around everywhere my rabbit is very jittery as well because he is young and loves to go outside the average heart rate for a rabbit is 188-230 beats per a minute they are usually very easy animals to take care of if you litterbox train your rabbit they are very clean nice animals to have! i enjoy my rabbit "Cow" very mch he has floppy ears that droop down and he is very happy! rabbits are great pets i hope you enjoy your rabbit and have a wonderful day!
