This is normal, so dont let it scare you as I had the same thing happen to me at age 11 or so. It is a condition of where your mouth is too crowded for the adult teeth to fill in properly and it will grow between and above the others, primarily the incisors, or fang teeth. This will require orthidontistry and possibly the removal of a tooth below for them to be moved into the proper location. You should could call your family dentist and ask for a consultation for the steps to remedy this situation.

I have this problem too. So, I am waiting on an answer as well. I do not like my smile bc.I tend to show all my gums on the top teeth.I mean you can see fromt the front to both sides of my mouth (gums) that is.Whenever I try to put my teeth together I can feel some pressure. What is the difference between buffalo's teeth and human teeth?

The molars of bison are designed for grinding grass and grow continuously. A bison does not have any top teeth (just like a cow or any other ruminant's) at the front of it's mouth...the lower front teeth are opposed by a bony plate covered by thick gums. And they are a lot bigger than human teeth, which are designed to eat a combination of foods.

How do dentures work?

An impression is made of the patients mouth, including the hard palate. These impressions are then used to create dentures, which can be top or bottom or a full set. The bottom denture is fitted over the shape of the gums. The upper plate is fitted over the gums and hard palate so that it stays in place. Teeth are formed and place in the plates to provide a natural look whenever possible. The fit is adjusted to be as secure as possible. The teeth then work like the natural teeth, or at least that's the goal.
