Try checking the fuses.
yes if you are just buying those doors because they are cheaper you can put you electric locks and windows in the non electric doors
The Volkswagen Passat has front, side, and rear air bags. It has child safety locks for the windows and doors. There is also noted an emergency release trunk button.
As I know it is for electric windows, electric dooor locks and alarm. Might also control interior lights.
Could be the electric lock solenoid, or the electric lock mechanism itself.
fuse bad, lost ground or relay
It could a fuse on your fuse panel for power widows, it should be a larger fuse possible meltal one, possibly a 20 amp, and power doors could be a circuit breaker/ or fuse at the starter motor relay, in the wiring.
Remove the power locks and windows fuse you will loose power for your windows also
