My fridge wont get cold but freezer works fine what should I do?
If your fridge would not start, but the freezer works just fine, check its back-wall for traces of frost, or the condenser coils for dust blockage.
If it is a "frost free" fridge-freezer, try DEFROSTING IT. Ice can build up out of site and stop cold air circulating in fridge. I had this problem and after defrosting it now works fine.
Because its not that cold in the fridge like it is in the freezer.. so it would just melt but in the freezer its COLD BRUHHH!
fridge or freezer
The freezer is colder then the fridge because the freezer is to keep things frozen and the fridge is to keep things just cold. Somethings are meant to be frozen and if not then they get spoiled or ruined and same with the fridge.
put it in the fridge or freezer.
Put it in freezing cold water or in a fridge
If you mean, why does my fridge freeze things? It means that it is set a temperature that is too cold. Set it about 6-7 degrees above freezing. You should have a thermostat to use. It could also be affected by the setting in your actual freezer. Especially if you have a two or three door model with the freezer at the bottom of the unit. Check to see what your freezer setting is. It… Read More
it doesn't its a reaction of the cold air in your freezer hitting the warmer air of your house
To the touch your skin is warm. When you reach in something cold such as a fridge or freezer the temperature difference is what makes your hands feel cold.
You could put it in the freezer or the fridge where everything gets cold.
a fridge should ideally be between 3 and 5 degrees. A freezer normally sits at around -18 degrees.
I am going to guess you mean a freezer or Refrigerator as an Ice box will be as cold as the ice you put in it. Two hours should have a house fridge or freezer down to temperature. An RV fridge could take 8 hours according to the manufacturer.
The problem is, because it's a good insulator. The way a freezer works, you have a load of pipes at the back, you compress a gas in the pump, that makes it hot and loses the heat out of the back of the fridge or freezer. It then pipes this condensed, compressed room temperature gas into the freezer, it then expands, evaporates, gets cold, and so the coldest bits of the fridge are where this… Read More
For climate control It is because light doesn't only give light but warmth. The fridge is okay since it doesn't have to be totally cold but in the freezer, it has to be. It can depend on what type of fridge or freezer you have. Some have a light in it, it is a matter of whether that model has one or not. Another answer: The light would freeze in the freezer causing you problems.
They burry it in the snow to keep it cold like a fridge or freezer.
If you put a banana in the freezer and one in warm temp. the banana in the freezer will rot faster. But if u put a banana in the fridge the one in the fridge will last longer.
Yes it does. If you put 3 bags of popcorn in a fridge, a freezer, and at room temperature and then cook them, the popcorn stored in the fridge has the most popcorn popped. The freezer has the least. You can't make popcorn too hot or too cold which is why the fridge is best. For minor evidence that this is true, I did this experiment myself.
It depends how cold your fridge or freezer is but i use a fridge and it takes about 1-1and a half hours to set.
cold, very cold.
Maybe a freezer? OH! How about a fridge!
You don't require a fan as the cold air from the freezer cools the contents of the fridge as it falls to bottom of the cabinet thermodynamically.
The freezer but it depends on how cold you want your water a good trick to get your water colder is to wet a napkin then wrap it around your water bottle and put it in the freezer
If it was left out of the freezer and in the fridge, then yes maybe. If you left it out during the night and it is not cold in the morning then you shouldn't. I wouldn't risk it.
There could be several reasons why your refrigerator and freezer are not getting cold. When your refrigerator and freezer are not getting cold you should first refer to your users manual for troubleshooting help. If you can't find the answer there you should call a repair person to come and fix your freezer and refrigerator.
Because the glass gets cold and to form the figure it was in it had to expand with heat therefore putting a glass in an extremely cold enviornment like the freezer the glass particles get compact (really tight) and shatters.
All of the cooling in refrigerators is normally done in the freezer compartment. A fan circulates cold air from the freezer into the refrigerator compartment to cool it. Most likely this fan has quit working.
A fridge has cold air generated by energy in the home. Once it is opened, the energy rushes out and the fridge needs to make more cold air to replenish. To cut energy costs, the fridge should be opened and closed as soon as possible.
a lot of reasons.. compressor not running, unit might me iced up and restricting air .
Most refrigerators have a thermostat to control the temperature over all and another control which regulates the flow of cold air from the freezer to the fridge. This is usually a dial in the freezer.
If you put ice-cream in the freezer, it will harden, but if you leave it in there, small ice crystals will start to form on the top, so it is suggested to scrape off the top before eating again. However, it is a better choice to put it in the freezer than in the fridge, because the fridge might not keep it cold enough; as a result, it may melt.
This obviously depends on how cold your fridge is and how well it works. But on average, I'd say you can keep cooked lentils in the fridge for 2-3 days.
The fridge to keep it fresh and cold
That is the point of refrigeration.
In the old days and still in many refrigerators, the freezer was actually inside the refrigerator cabinet. It is the coldest place in the fridge where the cooling coils are located, and when cold air leaks out of it, that cold air falls down into the outer cabinet of the refrigerator. Warm air from the refrigerator portion rises up to the freezer section and gets cooled in turn. This is also why the vegetable "crispers"… Read More
In a refrigerator, the freezer at the top of the unit contains the evaporator, which cools the air. Cold air is more dense than warmer air, so it sinks to the bottom of the freezer. There the cold air flows through vents (usually inside the meat keeper) into the refrigerator cabinet where it sinks to the bottom of the fridge (the crisper). Air warmed by the contents of the fridge rises as the cold air… Read More
It works by pumping the heat that is inside the fridge to the outside, leaving the inside cold. If you put your had behind a fridge you can feel the heat emerging.
They should be as long as the fridge stays cold
Strangely enough fridges and feezers actually need to have stuff inside them to work properly. A fridge or a freezer will work best when they are about 60-75% full. If they are too empty or too full then they won't be as cold.
An electric stove-top, hot water in a shower or bath, grabbing cold stuff out of the freezer/fridge... there are a lot.
It works better in a hot room. I am remodeling and the fridge down stairs is not in a heated room and it is winter now so it is kept at about 30 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit ambient temperature. It does not freeze the products in the freezer. When I leave the upstairs fridge room unheated it does the same. The only thing I could think of is that the coolant has to be in… Read More
Answer Possible causes: vents between fridge and freezer sections are clogged with ice. Warranty guy told me to unplug 24 hours, replug and everything should work out. Fautly thermostat Clogged/dirty evaporator coils (underneath in newer models, on back in older models) Bad "Adaptive Defrost Control Board", Google it, it's an easy fix, about $35 on ebay, just make sure you get the right one for your model fridge.
Cover it when you aren't eating. Keep cold food in the fridge or freezer. Make sure food is wrapped well and sealed when it's stored.
My refrigerator is not running cold nor is the freezer. It is blowing warm air.
Insulin should be kept in the fridge, or in a very cold place on a shelf
freezers and fridges are based on evaporation of coolant liquid, in a cooling cycle. To evaporate heat is drawn from the environment. However if your environment is cold, evaporation will be harder, and the fridge/freezer won't work as well.
There are magnetic strips on a fridge door to enable the door to form a tight seal around the edges to make sure the cold is kept inside and the freezer bit does not over freeze, and of course the magnets keep the door closed.
- Putting ice in it - Leaving it in the fridge - If the weather is completely cold, your drink should be chilled too
I dont know. You should put it in the freezer and test it out.
So they can keep cold, and taste fresh when you eat them.
Yes, negative four degrees is too cold for a fridge because things will freeze. A fridge should be in the range of one to four degrees C, or 35 to 40 degrees F.
