Be there for her by not talking and just listening.
You cannot fix her. Don't try. You will accomplish far more by just listening and allowing her to talk it out. Just being supportive in that way and not offering advice may be difficult for you, and if you cannot do it, you should not get involved with that part of her life.
Above all, remember that her reality is hers, and you do not "understand." Nor can you ever. Her pain is in her head. Listening will help her to let it out safely.
