Just show them that you can be a good friend and trust worthy and make the parents feel good about them selves and not be a smart arse
Listen to your parents,ask them what their fears are and explain to them why your friend is valuable to you.It is also advisable to speak your school teacher or guidance counsellor or a family relative (uncle or aunt).Always respect your parents and love them.Wish you all the luck!
