My gas pedal is stiff in my jeep grand Cherokee 1996 just happened all of a sudden what do i do to fix it?

Purchase a can of spray carburetor cleaner and clean all the linkage and moving parts. Do not use WD40 or similar product. If this does not help you may need to clean the internal parts inside the plenum with an approved cleaner. Also look for obstructions inside the car near the linkage.
