"My hamsters doing the same thing! He keeps making squeaking hiccupy noises and won't drink unless encouraged and wont eat at all! Get him checked out by a vet and check for the common illnesses- wettail, gastronitus, cold, also check how fast hes eating that might be the cause." I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but both your hamsters are probably dying from a disease that's fairly common in small rodents, mainly rats, called Mycoplasma. Hamsters or rats can't burp, nor can they hiccup, although it may look like that's what they're doing, they're actually "choking" for lack of a better term. Mycoplasma is a bacteria that is resistant to almost all common antibiotics, because it does not have a cell wall. But hey, what do i know, I'm just a rat breeder. Hope this helps (as much as it can)
Yes, people have had hiccups last for days.
Yes, I think they don't open their eyes the first few days.
No, if that is normal for you then you are fine. If you all of a sudden went from 28 days to 21 then something is wrong.
66 days
Virtually everyone experiences hiccups, but they rarely last long or require a doctor's care. Occasionally, a bout of hiccups will last longer than two days, earning it the name
Most hamsters are pregnant for 16-18 days.
i suggest no, because female hamsters are smellier.
Hi, hamsters are pregnant for 16-28 days.
Siren hamsters are pregent for 16 days and dwarf hamsters are pregent for 18-22 days.
Yes! Call your doctor.
That depends on the type of hamster. Syrian hamsters can be pregnant up to about 22 days. For most 16 days is the minimum.
All hamsters are pregnant the same time, or close enough to make no difference. Actually, Syrian hamsters have the quickest gestation period, at about 16 days. Dwarf hamsters are a little bit longer at about 18 days, but they can also go as long as 22 days. Hope i helped.
