My laptop completely shut down and now I can't turn it on what do I do I think it over heated?

nothing you can do-all computers are designed to shut down when they overheat, you will find out for sure when it cools off and you turn it back on. There will be a msge about a thermal event or similar. Check fan operation when you get it going again.
