My last pap was 4 years ago i had an abnormal pap and had a biopsy everything was fine but now i am scared to have oneI keep reading the symptoms of cervical caner and can't sleep at night?

Go and get checked - they screen BECAUSE they can cure it. There are many people have to have biopsy because of small abnormalities - they are just being thurough. But the sooner you get checked the easier it is the treat if there is anything wrong - which there won't be ;). ANSWER I dont know how your dr let you go 4 years without a pap test! About a year ago I had an abnormal one, then 6months later had another abnormal, hten 3 months later another abnormal one - so they sent me to a gyno and got the biopsy done, now, 6 months later I have to go for another biopsy just to make sure. So far everything is fine. HPV is a large cause of cerveical cancer, but only 2 strands of it. Had you went back 4 years ago, and you did have more abnormal cells, they would find out for sure, and prevent it from getting worse. YOU NEED TO GO BACK AND GET CHECKED ASAP!!!!
