Drain the oil and catch it in a clean container if you intend on reusing the same oil . Then replace the plug and place the correct amount of oil in the motor.
The engine floods and you have to wait for the lawnmower to drain before you start it up again or it might start smoking.
It is difficult to start and emits a smelly white smoke once running.
switch on push primer bulb or choke the engine set throttle pull rope or turn key
Briggs has a rudimentary wiring diagram for the operation of an electric start engine. see the link below.
As long as the battery in the lawnmower is a 12 Volt battery you will be fine.
plug it in and push the on button
The "W" on an engine oil bottle is short for weight. A bottle that says 15W50 will have the weight of the oil at 15 at the coolest point and 50 at its warmest point. If oil is too heavy in the colder months, it will gum up and the engine will not turn over to start.
If the wrong oil is used in a lawnmower, do not start it. Simply drain the oil as completely as possible and fill with the proper oil.
yes,it isn't hard to get it back in time though.:)
Because it has no accessories like lights or a radio. Bear in mind that the lawnmower is started using a rope ... whereas a car uses a starter motor to start the engine.
Start with the parking brake on and your foot off the accelerator. That way, if the engine revs up, you're not going to accidentally jerk forward or backward and run into something.
Loss of power and hard to start.
