check your oil pressure sensor, it is an easy fix.
Not that I know of. The oil pressure light comes on at a very low pressure, but it will not shut the car off.
it sure wll if the engine seizes with oil light on. You see that light, SHUT THAT ENGINE OFF
Some are designed to shut fuel pump off if oil pressure drops. Engine seized?
your oil sending unit is bad
Oil level?
It means quit riding, right now, shut the engine off and put some more oil in.
IT WOULD BE ON THE SIDE OF THE BLOCK NEXT TO THE OIL FILTER IT WILL HAVE A SINGLE WIRE ON IT Does the oil light blink or is it a steady light? Will the oil light stay on until you shut off the ignition or does it come & go as you drive?
If you are low on oil the ECM will shut the engine down so it will not blow. check your oil if it's low you could have a oil leak add oil and have it checked. If you have plenty oil the sensor needs to be replace. Also if you haven't changed the oil in a long time it will thin out an set the sensor off also
no if the oil pressure gauge light is on it means that your car dose not have the oil pressure needed to properly oil the moving components, if you are sure that this is not the problem then replace the sensor and the light should shut off.
most likely the your oil pressure plug is unplugged look under your car see ifyousee anywireshanging from or aroundyouroil pan ifyou do just plug it in right away your lightshould turn off
Turn ignition on, with engine off. Press gas pedal to the floor three times, and Cycle key.
There isn't a sensor that will shut off the engine if the oil pressure is too low
