In the wild, they eat lots of greens and leafy fauna in the spring and dried grass and leaves later in the year. They are sometimes forced to even eat bark, twigs, and shrubs.

However, there are many common house and garden plants that are not healthy for a rabbit to eat and may be downright toxic. You should always thoroughly check out any plant before giving it to your rabbit. There are several good bunny care sites available on the internet which lists the foods safe to give your rabbit.
