Are you talking about regular TS2 downloads of sims? Because as far as I'm aware, these only download new content, so you can choose whether to include it. Hope that helped! Yes it does allow you to go back to regular sims,
Did you remember to install them? The little launcher where they download has an install button at the bottom and you have to check the box next to the file name and hit install for it to appear in-game.
You can get Sasuke and Sakura for Sims 2 by going to thesims2.ea.com. Go to exchange Sims and search Sakura and/or Sasuke. You click download and save it to you Sims download folder. Check whatever you want to download to see if it has a separate mesh, if does download that first, if the mesh is included you don't have to, click the download link and open the file once it is complete then using either WinRar or WinZip extract the files; My Documents>EA Games>Sims 2> Downloads.
