My sony dvp-sr500h 1080p upscaling DVD player has an audio option called dynamic theater the bass is good but rear speakers are too noisy is there a way to turn down the noise of the rear speakers?
Since the signal is sent pre-mixed into the surround sound receiver as a Dolby Digital stream, you will have to turn down the rear channels at the receiver. All good receivers should have a channel level adjustment control through a menu or on the remote control.
Dynamic and Theater are surround sound settings on your Sony receiver. Standard offers no processing other than Dolby Surround decoding. Theater adds additional delay to the rear speakers and an EQ to simulate the sound in a large movie theater. Dynamic changes the dynamic range of the sound for greater punch and impact. There is no better setting, just personal preference.

I know on a sony DVD player there's an audio option called dynamic theater is there an audio option only called theater?
No. Turning off the Dynamic Theater mode puts the DVD player back in to regular surround mode. This is not a Sony feature, it is a function of the Dolby Digital processor chip in the player. If you want to change the balance of the channels, you must do so at the receiver. If you like the effect that Dynamic Theater mode gives you, you can try the Midnight mode on your receiver. The TV needs to have AUDIO OUT connectors, some don't. If they are present on your TV connect them to the Home Theater box's INPUTS. Then go into the TV's men and switch the TV's speakers off. Don't use the TV's speakers with the Home Theaters speakers.

This depends on what speakers you have, the size and shape of the room, and a little personal preference. Generally, evenly placed encircling the room, then subwoofers or larger speakers in the back or sides and the rest put around the room in open spaces
Your home theater doesn't have to be one brand. The TV can be one, the receiver another, and the speakers the third. The best speakers are made by companies that don't make the other two parts. For TV, go with a major brand, such as Sony, Sharp, Samsung, LG or Panasonic. For receivers, go with Pioneer, Yamaha, Onkyo or Harmon-kardon. For speakers, I've always had good luck with Klipsch.
Audio out (line out) from the Home Theater to audio in (line in) on the Power Amp. If you use Preamp out on the Home Theater the Volume Control will control the volume of the Power Amp and Speakers.

sony The answer to that question depend highly upon the type of speakers you are looking for and your budget. 'Compact' speakers like bookshelf speakers for Home Theater applications are made by hundreds of manufacturers, but the best in the market are made by JBL, Klipsch and Tannoy. Bose speakers designed for home theater / home stereo applications can be powered by any stereo or surround receiver with sufficient power output for the ratings of the speakers. Bose speakers for car stereo applications must be powered by Bose amplifiers, since they have a special super-low impedence design which is not used by other manufacturers. Bose speakers for MP3 players have their own amplifier built into the speakers.
You need a 5.1 Decoder and an amplifier to drive the speakers, most companies build these items into their RECEIVERS which comes with the switching you heed with most home theater systems.
Both of these numbers refer to the speaker set up of the home theater. 2.1 represents two front channel speakers (left and right) and one LFE (low frequency effects) channel, otherwise known as the subwoofer. 5.1 surround sound is just that: you are surrounded by speakers. You have your left channel, right channel and subwoofer (as in 2.1) but you also have a center speaker and two surround speakers (generally in plane with your seating… Read More
Less than 60% Rh is ideal. The dew point temperature should be below 55 degrees. If humidity is above 60% and the theater is being overcooled the surface level Rh of theater seats and speakers can be over 80%. If this is maintained over a period of time, mold will grow and that musty theater stink will soon follow.
Yes you can. You will need to hook it up to a Bose system. This will transfer the audio from whatever it is you are playing from to the speakers. In fact it makes a great home theater system. My friend has one and its amazing!!!
If you have more speakers than the receiver has outlets for, you can't use them. Connecting more speakers than the amplifier is designed to handle will shorten the life of the amplifier and possibly result in a over-current shutdown.
'best' is a difficult pigeon hole. The best performing speakers are often too expensive for the average home theatre. Think tens of thousands per speaker. You should go to local stero store that have home theater speakers set up, and listen to some movies through them.

It depends on the amount of space you have in your home. If you have the room for them, then yes! Otherwise just go for some nice speakers and a tv that fits.

Array speakers, You can see it in the theaters, it is simply a large number of speakers hanging or placed vertically in the wall and it produce a uniform sound. It is used to reach the voice to each and every individual person in that theater. By regards udayan AR

Bose also makes speakers that can be connected to a home theatre system. These don't have amplifiers in them, except for the subwoofer. These are the Cinemate and Acoustimass systems. Many Home-Theater-in-a-box systems use proprietary connectors for the speakers and subwoofer, and cannot be connected to speakers for other… Read More
How do I get the sound output from home theater while watching normal TV Is it possible to get the sound output from both at the same time. Ii tried using a 3.5 mm jack but it didn't help?
I can't help you with the connections with just the info provided but I can tell you that you should not have the TV's speakers on at the same time while listening to the sound system speakers. I would mute the TV's speakers (go to the audio menu and turn the internal speakers off) and always use the sound system speakers.

Okay, it depends upon what you mean by "tiny". All surround sound speakers should be matched up with a subwoofer. If you have surround speakers that read a wattage rating as 100 watts, that is what they will produce, but don't expect them to thump out a lot of bass. I have a 7.1 home theater with Klipsch surround sound speakers, they are rated at 200 watts apiece and do produce a small amount of… Read More

Overall I would have to say Polk Audio but this is definitely a personal opinion and also comes with some explanation. For example, I feel that Polk makes better small car audio speakers but I don't particularly like their subs or amps. Polk also makes great home theater speakers and I don't think diamond sells any home theater equipment except freestanding subs. To accurately compare these two brands you would have to limit yourself to… Read More
