I have the same problem. If you take off the shroud that covers the column(3 screws) & the panel just under the steering wheel(3 screws & 3 snap connectors) you can clearly see the cable that when you move the tilt wheel lever it moves. My cable was broken at the end that connects to the tooth mechanism. Good luck finding the part. I suggest junk yard. I was able to release the gears & set the wheel in the straight possition. If that don't please the wife I will be heading to the junk yard. One other note. To remove the tilt wheel lever: Grab the lever & pull toward rear of vehicle at the same time pushing slightly inward. Good luck.
Depends on if your car is equipped with tilting capabilities. I have an 02 GL as well and it does not tilt, unfortunately that was an option.
you take out whatever is making the tilt thingy tilt and it becomes non-tiltable
If your car has a tilt wheel it is operated by a short lever below the turn signal. Pull back on the lever to tilt the wheel.
