It is going one of two places. Either is is leaking externally or internally. Park the vehicle on a flat surface and place newspapers under the engine compartment. Check the next morning for leaks. The area of the leak will tell you where to look on the engine. If you see no leaks, sorry to say that is a bad sign. You may have a blown head gasket or cracked head. Check the oil for the presence of anti-freeze. If the oil level is overfull, you have trouble. Smell the exhaust, and if it smells sweet, blown head gasket. If you suspect a blown head gasket, have this repaired immediately and stop driving the car until you do. Serious engine damage will occur if you do not get this repaired.

Your truck is using a lot of antifreeze you have replaced the head gasket and there is no antifreeze in the oil what could be the problem?

There might be a leak in the water pump, or in the radiator. Maybe even check the radiator hoses for cracks and leaks.

If your truck is dieseling or running on, it could be that the fuel is too rich. Try using a lower octane of fuel.

Your 2004 Silverado is using a lot of antifreeze but you are not seeing where it's leaking anywhere What could be the problem?

There is obviously a leak in the system. Take the truck for a spin, let it warm up and then leave it running in the driveway for a few minutes. Look for a drip. If you can't find anything, then your in more trouble. Shut the truck off, and check your oil for coolant because you likely need a head gasket.

What is the problem with not using antifreeze on your car?
