My wifes grandmother on her fathers side died a few years ago her grandmother on her mothers side has breast cancer ever time she ask to get checked the doctors say shes to young at 26 any idea's?

Just as an FYI, I personally know someone who died from breast cancer at age 25 with no familial history of it. It is never too soon to check. She can begin by giving herself a monthly breast exam and having a yearly breast exam with her doctor at the same time as her annual pelvic exam. If this doctor won't do it, it's time to find another doctor.
