The religion of Feroze Gandhi is Zoroastrianism. His name was Feroze Khan originally. He was the youngest child among four siblings, with father Jehangir Faredoon, a marine engineer and mother Rattimai. His family had migrated to Bombay from Bharuch in South Gujarat, where his ancestral home which belonged to his grandfather, still exists in Kotpariwad, city's Parsi neighborhood. Feroze and Indira fell in love with each other but the inter caste marriage was not acceptable to Nehru. When he confided to Mahatma Gandhi about this Gandhi adopted him and gave his surname. Thus Feroze Khan became Feroze (Khan) Gandhi. They got married as per Hindu rites and have two sons Rajiv (Khan) Gandhi and Sanjay (Khan) Gandhi. Feroze died in year 1960 due to a second heart attack at the Willingdon Hospital, now Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, Delhi. He was later cremated and his ashes interred at the Parsi cemetery in Allahabad. Answered with help from other sites.
