In deserts, the location is multitude. Genarlly hot all year around.

Animals: Rodents, snakes, lizards, tortise, incects, and some birds

The Sahara in Africa is home to camels, small foxes, snakes, lizards, and gerbils

Plant: None to Cacti, yuccas, bunch grasses, shrubs, and a few trees

The soil is very poor. It can't grow anything unless it is a cctus.

There is much more in the desert besides sand. Deserts have mountains, canyons, plains, sand dunes, many specialized plants and animals. The desert is a wonderful and fascinating place if you just take time to see.
