The cementing minerals could be clay, or precipitated calcite or quartz.
The cementing material could be calcite, clay minerals, iron minerals, or quartz in a clastic sedimentary rock.
CEMENT DOES NOT CONDUCT ELECTRICTY OR HEAT BUT IT MAY ACT AS A BARRIER TOWARDS THESE ELEMENTS. CEMENT IS NOT GENARALLY USED AS AN INSULATOR BECAUSE ITS MENT FOR HOLDING OBJECTS TOGETHER (LIKE A GLUE). I SUPPOSE IT COULD BE USED AS AN INSULATOR FOR EXAMPLE YOU COULD BUILD A WALL OF CEMENT AROUND YOUR SELF WHEN YOUR IN A BLIZZARD AND IT WOULD BE WARMER ON THE INSIDE THAN OUTSIDE BECAUSE IT ACTS AS A BARRIER TO KEEP THE WIND AND COLD OUT. I HAVE ADDED DEFINITIONS FROM WIKIPEDIA FOR INSULATORS.Insulator (electrical), a substance that resists the flow of electric currentInsulator (genetics), an element in the genetic codeThermal insulation, a material used to resist the flow of heatBuilding insulation, a material used in building construction to prevent heat lossA Mott insulator, a type of electrical insulatorLOL
The most common use of sand is in building materials. Sand is mixed with cement and water to make concrete. Sand is used in the manufacture of brick, glass and other materials, and it can also be used as a media for the filtration of water. Sand is also found as a landscaping material, and as an amendment for soil to change its characteristics. Sand is used to make castings, and as an abrasive agent like blasting sand. Sand could be spread on icy roads to improve traction, and is the filler in sandbags. There are other uses for this ubiquitous material, and an investigator would not have to look far to discover more.
You could get a fulgurite. But you'd probably just get damaged concrete.
Gneiss turns into granite. Though it comes from shale."GNEISS can turn to migmatite and then totally recrystallize into granite."
The cementing material could be calcite, clay minerals, iron minerals, or quartz in a clastic sedimentary rock.
Quartz, calcite, clay, and iron could all be cementing minerals in sedimentary rock.
Sandstone could be affected by acid rain as it is chemical erosion.
Someone can get a sample of sandstone at cliffs and quarries around the world.
The sandstone grains will not be affected, but the cementing material between grains could react with dilute hydrochloric acid if it is composed of calcite. Chances are, though, that the cementing material is silicate in nature, and therefore will not react with dilute hydrochloric acid.
it depends on the composition of the sandstone
Yes

A person could not live very long if they were stuck in cement. The cement would dehydrate a person rather quickly, which could kill a person.
No, chalk is best.
No, certainly limestone could not occur as a lunar material as they are biological products. The others too are a result of terrestrial geological processes - sandstone, slate, gneiss - that have not occurred on the moon. However it is possible that the minerals talc (unlikely) and quarts (very likley) would be present in lunar rocks.
Sandstone doesn't react to hydrochloric acid unless the cementing mineral is calcite. Sedimentary rocks that do react with acid include limestones such as chalk. Dolostone also reacts, but only in powder form.
