Most any stock carrier without a posi with have a 2:73 ratio
you will need to use 90 wt oil. if it has a posi, add a posi additive.
Not all z28s have posi, I own a 83 and I does. It have posi. But you can buy a lock and it makes it posi.
No, it most likely does not have the posi trac
my 95 is posi !!
It was an option, you will have to check yours to know for sure if you have it.
you dont unless you want to buy a new carrier for it and install it, I would say approx $800
The 3.73 rear end in a 1998 Chevy Silverado 1500 does not automatically mean it is a posi-traction (posi) differential. Posi-traction refers to a limited-slip differential that allows both rear wheels to spin together for improved traction. You would need to confirm with the specific vehicle's build options or VIN to determine if it has a posi rear end.
You buy a posi-trac rear differential.
Yes, a 2000 Trans Am does have posi traction. If a car has posi traction, it means that the car has a limited slip differential. Posi traction is good to have when traveling in ice or mud.
