The 60 GB model PS3 was backward compatible and the 80 GB model was released in 2007 and twice in 2008 both 2008 releases were not backward compatible

As of now only a remake of Nightmare on Elm Street has been made, and will be in theatres int he spring. There hasn't been any talk of remaking the entire series. There has been a reboot of Friday the 13th that came out in 2009. And there has been no talk either of a Freddy vs Jason remake, considering the Freddy vs Jason movie only came out in 2003.

Depends what you mean. Some Castlevania games, like SOTN have been released on multiple gaming platforms. You could always search the Wii's virtual console, Xbox live Arcade/shop, or DSI/3DS Ware shops. They might have some older castlevania games for sale. As far as releasing a remake on a cartridge/disc like Ocarina of Time 3DS, nothing has been announced yet.

One opinion believes that yes, they will because of dialogue mentioned by Game Freak employes in Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver however it will most likely come out in 2015 because Emerald was released in the 2005 which means Nintendo will release it 10 years later. Another opinion believes that Emerald won't be remade itself but rather Game Freak will do a HeartGold and SoulSilver style remake by remaking Ruby and Sapphire and including Emerald elements into it because of them never releasing the Old Sea Map for Faraway Island and Deoxys hasn't had a store event since the Gamestop 2008 event for Diamond and Pearl.
