Not sure of your question but yes, NYC has the largest public transit system in the U.S. and is one of the largest in the world.
The subway has 468 stations, over 6,000 subway cars, over 700 miles of track. Over 6 million people ride the system daily.
It also has one of the largest bus fleets in the country (I don't have those exact numbers).
The PATH system (NY/NJ) serves lower and Midtown Manhattan connecting to Hoboken, Jersey City, Harrison and Newark NJ.
In addition, there is also 2 railroad hubs serving many different rail lines(Grand Central - MetroNorth and soon LIRR, Penn Station - LIRR, NJ Transit and Amtrak).
