this is non related. Service engine light is probably a call for new oxygen sensor, but change your timing belt every 60,000 miles and water pump at the same time ,since it only adds about 30 min to the job. You have a good truck and will go 300,000 plus.

It depends on the condition of the belt(s) and how recently it (they) have been changed. If you're certain that the belt was changed recently and is in good condition you could probably get by without replacing it (them)

I have a 2004 Frontier with 3.3 liter engine, mine only takes 3.5 qts. I believe this engine hasn't changed too much over the years.
