Same thing happened to my 2002 Grand Prix. There is an electric distribution box under the hood on the passenger side fender well. Inside, there is a 20 amp mini fuse, #37, labeled "Parking". If this fuse is blown you will have no dash lights or rear running lights.
The cause for my fuse blowing was due to a wire that was getting smashed when my gear selector on the floor console was in "Park". There is a light bulb that illuminates to show what gear you are in (Park,Reverse,Neutral,Drive...). The wires for that light bulb were too long and would get pinched when the shifter was all the way forward in the "Park" position. I was able to tape the pinched wires and anchor them out of the way with a plastic cable tie. Hope this helps you.
your fuse is blown. car manufacturerers make the dash lights go off when the tail light fuse blows so you know it is blown.
There should be a roll switch right next to your light switch on your dash to dim the lights with.
There are no fuses for the dash lights. Are your dash lights not working? If not, then you will need the instrument cluster refurbished. I can do this for you, contact me at ANCTechnologies at hotmail
How do you turn on dash lights 1993 mercury grand marquis
Should be the same fuse for parking light/tail lights Should be the same fuse for parking light/tail lights Should be the same fuse for parking light/tail lights Should be the same fuse for parking light/tail lights
No the dash lights should be with your parking lights.comment2: They are on separate circuits. Power usually goes from the "taillight fuse" to a small 5 amp dash light fuse and then to the dash dimmer wheel or knob. Then it feeds the dash lights. A blown tail light fuse makes the dash lights go out also. A blown dash fuse only affects the dash lights.
Check your fuse. Usually the manufacturer has the dash lights and the tail lights on the same circuit.
Need to know what about the dash board lights.
They are tied to either the brake lights or the tail lights.
yes there is.
my 97 grand am se dash light want come on i change all of the fuse
If dash and parking lights do not work - check the fusesMay also be a bad headlight switchThe tail lights and brake lights on my 2002 would not work at the same time. Had to replace whole tail light assembly. Was told problems with jeeps-the circuit boards in older jeeps overheat and short out.
