Seized engine. Thousands of dollars to install rebuilt engine. Bad news.
it will seize up
If the engine was void of any oil it would seize in the matter of minutes and yes the car would not work.
Engine failure.Engine failure.
If your engine needs oil, adding it when it hot will not have any adverse effect on either the oil or the engine. Just make sore you don't overfill and you'll be fine.
don't try it
the thick liquid would plug your radiator and ruin your water pump. and destroy your engine.
If you overfill the engine oil you can damage the engine. The crankshaft will make contact with the oil causing it to form a froth of oil and air which is a poor lubricant.
It might happen because of a faulty starter gasket.
Eventually one of two things will happen. 1. The oil will sludge up and clog up the engine, then all the critical components won't receive oil and the engine will seize. 2. The engine will use all the oil, then all the critical components won't receive oil and the engine will seize. In the end, bad things will happen regardless
It would probably clean out the gunk from the motor. It could cause the oil to lose its viscosity and cause a bearing to fail.
Have someone drain out the oil and replace the filter, now! Do not run the engine! This is not good for the engine!
That would depend on how long the oil filter has been in use. At worst, the filter could become clogged and restrict or prevent the flow of oil through the engine.
