First make sure you have coolant in your radiator.
Pull off heater core hoses and connect a garden house to the pipe and flush it out.
Check vacuum lines by the heater core hose.

Dodge Ram hesitates during acceleration?

For a 2009 Ram, Yes.Try experimenting with the AC/Heat Controls. I have noticed when defrost is on there is a miss in the acceleration, but when the floor heat is on, the acceleration is okay. I am taking mine in to see what they say about this. My 2000 Dakota had a miss in the acceleration but the dealerships could never find the problem (or did not care).1973 Dodge Coronet (318 Auto); 1993 Dodge Dakota Sport (3.9 Standard); 2000 Dodge Dakota Sport (3.9 Standard); 2009 Dodge Ram (4.9 Auto)...Things have been going downhill ever since I brought the 2000 model, and am not happy with the 2009. The coolant is low, probably from a leak. You need to have it checked with a pressure testor.

Will a new cabin filter help your heat on a 2000 dodge Dakota?

It might, but not guaranteed. If there is a cabin air filter to begin with, and the old filter is very dirty, a new one will likely allow better airflow.

How do you lower a 1992 dodge Dakota a cheap and easy way?

To lower the front easily you can heat up the spring in one central area (do not heat the whole spring) with a torch and the weight of the truck will slowly lower it. Once it starts to lower immediately take the torch away. If you want to lower the truck further repeat this procedure. Unfortunately, there's no easy way to lower the rear end. You'd have to replace the whole entire leaf spring
