Check your water heater to ensure that the valve in the supply line is open. You can test that the water heater is working by using the relief valve at the top, just beware of the potential for scalding hot water to come out if the heater is operating correctly. If you have a full tank, and all the valves are open around the water heater, it may be time to call a plumber.
Take off and clean the aerator - or better yet, buy a new one.
House pressure, 75 PSI maximum.
if all the pipes in the house are the same size the easy answer is adjust the outflow valve on the hotwater tank until it matches the cold water pressure.
Pressure is the same whether hot or cold.
You may have a restriction in your hot water heater exit pipes. There may be corrosion. How old is the house and how old is the hot water heater? What type of pipe is there going out of the hot water heater? You need to know this to fix the problem yourself without hiring a plumber.
All pipes in a house are connected, so when two outlets are turned on the water has to change from going in one direction to being divided and go two directions. However, the loss in water pressure should only be temporary . . . usually the system will re-adjust
A mega-flow system is simply hot water stored under a certain pressure. The idea is to give one the same pressure throughout the house. This is a good choice of a boiler if one has high hot water demand.
Hot water does exert pressure, but the main thing is that it creates steam if hot enough, and that is often used to run machines that require pressure.
.In simplified terms . The slower water flow will pick up more heat than the faster water flowing through the heater. Tom H. HVAC proffesional, New Orleans
This is probably a pressure imbalance problem or you have air in the lines. see the related video link provided.
low/poor water pressure coming from the utilities/street
the answer is that yes it does and it is really true
If you have a leak on the hot water somewhere in the house and the water input into the tank is not running, the tank will lose it's water. And if it is an electric tank, the elements will burn out. Gas hot water tank should be no problem. Pressure valve does not have to be open.
