Loose or corroded battery cables? Seized engine? Bad starter solenoid? Bad starter? Bad neutral or clutch safety switch?
If you mean will crank, but no fire, then check for spark and fuel. If you mean will not crank, then check the wiring and the starter.
Check your battery and alternator.
This could be a problem with your cam sensor, or crank sensor.
Spark plugs don't smoke. A bad alternator would cause a dead battery.
the car battery. the alternator while running
Battery will be flat because spark plugs were running straight off your battery because the alternator was not charging your battery as you were driving. You can test this by jump starting your car with another car and after your car is running you should be able to disconnect your battery and car should still run off the alternator. If your car stops than your alternator is RS. Battery will be flat because spark plugs were running straight off your battery because the alternator was not charging your battery as you were driving. They are part oft he electrical system. The alternator is driven round and round by the fan belt, and when turning generates 12 volts that charges the battery AND feeds back through the wiring harness to the distributer, which feeds the spark plugs, which fire the engine. Once a motor vehicle starts ( using the battery as the power source) the alternator essentially drives the spark plugs to run the motor to turn the belts to drive the alternator to provide power to the spark plugs.... and, and, and...
Alternator versus Engine Performance IssuesIn and of itself, a "bad" alternator will not effect the engine performance. That said, IF the alternator is not properly charging the battery, and the BATTERY capacity gets low enough, then the very low power can result in very low spark production at the spark plugs, which will fail to dependably ignite the fuel, AND THEN result in "rough," or no running. So, a "bad" battery itself does not cause rough running, but can lead to battery depletion which can.
Change crank shaft angle sensor ul get a spark
Most likely: 1. bad battery connection + or ground 2. bad coil or wires 3. bad cam/crank sensor
please describe why it wont start? if it doesnt crank check the battery, battery cables etc, if it cranks but does not start. verify that you have spark, and fuel. try wiggling the cps wires if no spark.
Well a car has the motor, the belt, the wheels, the battery, alternator's, spark plugs, transmission, fuel injection, pistons, crank shaft, cam, and all the other things that work together to keep a car running properly
