A good graphics card for low details on games is the nvidia 8800. I reccammend you don't get this just to be safe. To get normal to high graphics get the nvidia 9400. For high to best Graphics, get the nvidia 9800. For best Graphics, get the 260, 280, 285, 275, 290, (all nvidia).

I've tried it with games such as COD5 and others and can say 8400 is not as powerful but looks better 7600 can handle more so is better for games

Try Nvidia's 9 series (like geforce 9200 or 9800 for gamers) they also came out with a heavy duty card. geforce 350 to handle the modern day games. But cost 500 bucks.
