4 months is the best and after 8 months is not recomended.
A pitbull has to be atleast 5 weeks as a guess but i would check with your dogs vet first.
I think you shouldn't crop any dogs ears to start with....
i wanted an answer not your stupid opinion
Pit Bull puppies should be between 8 and 12 weeks old when having their ears cropped.
If you expect them so stand I would say no later than 17 weeks.
You should not cut ears! It is a barbaric act.
If your dog is past 4 months, he will have a bad and painfully healing. So do it before that.
you never have to crop a pits ears...it mean and in humane how would u like ur ears croped
pritty sure its 8 mths
there is a funnel you put around his neck to stop this.
The Blue Heeler (or Australian Cattle Dog) should not be cropped if it is to be shown professionally, as the ears should be natural according to the official Breed Standard. However, providing you live in an area where ear cropping is legal, the Blue Heelers' ears may be cropped for whatever reason.
No, this is why you don't crop the ears!
I would not recommend it. They should be cropped between 8 and 12 weeks of age. Older dogs have more scarring issues, drooping, infection and difficulty leaving them alone to heal.
You dont. Ears are cropped. They SHOULD be done by a vet. You can look at this website, it talks about the care, and how cropping is done.
Dobes have big floppy ears like beagles. Their ears are cropped at an angle so that scar tissue will hold them erect for a more alert and "sharp" look.
No their ears stand up on their own.
Of course it hurts! Do not crop dog's ears! Don't listen to them, you can have a dogs ears cropped. Obviously it does hurt them, but that is okay.
As a rule, goats' ears are not cropped. Sometimes goats with floppy ears have their ears caught in a fence or pull the tags out, and that tears them. There is one breed of goats that has ears (the external, floppy part) that are very short or nonexistent, and that is the LaMancha. You can find information about LaMancha goats here:http://www.lamanchas.com/LaManchas have ears that are naturally that way-- they are not cropped or clipped in any way.
When you crop a dogs ears, they do not grow back.
It is a matter of preference. Some people prefer the tails and ears cropped and some do not. What is "cute" to some may be ugly to others.
They will eventually stand up on their own, although the exact age is different with every puppy. I have seen a few that had one ear stand up completely and the other ear stand up only part way. If you see this starting to happen you can massage the ear in an upright postition and it will help strengthen the ear and help it stand.
